Ali MacGraw
Ali MacGraw also known by her stage name Elizabeth Alice MacGraw has been a model, actor and animal rights advocate in the United States. She is renowned for her movies such as Love Story (1970) Goodbye Columbus (1969) and The Getaway (1972). New York was her home and she grew up in an artistic environment. Her first job was as an assistant to photographers. Then she moved on to modelling and acting. In her first two films she received recognition and won her the Golden Globe Award as Most Promising Young Actress. MacGraw's movie Love Story proved a major success and earned her international fame as well as the Academy Award' nomination and a Golden Globe award. The film was recognized as the most successful female box-office star of the world in just three movies. In Grauman's Chinese Theater, in 1972, she had her name and footprints hand-engraved. She has starred in several different films, such as The Getaway Convoy Players and television miniseries The Winds of War among other. In 1991, her autobiography Moving Pictures came out. MacGraw has married thrice.
