Niykee has experienced an eventful few years, including being chosen by Snoop to sing with him on the YouTube Brandcast May 2013 Niykee keeps a steady songwriting schedule even though she has been a bit busy. Songwriting is a source of inspiration for aspiring producers. Niykee is always listening to beats and discovers many that spark ideas. I can tell if a beat is excellent after just five seconds and then I'll have a song in my head, and I'll start writing immediately she says. I go out to my backyard with my guitar and the words appear and it's usually all done in under thirty minutes. Niykee says that when she grows as a lyricist her painful memories from her youth serve as inspiratoin. It's hard to avoid memories that are painful from my youth, especially the loss of my sister. These memories are incorporated in her music. This influences my music and builds this deeper understanding behind all things that's among the most significant things for me. I want to be able to say that I'll be able to hear any of my music 20 years from now and still be happy with what I wrote.
