
Alexandra Morgan Carrasco is an American professional soccer player who is an attacker and captain for San Diego Wave FC of the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL) which is the top division of women's soccer in the United States, and the United States women's national soccer team.She co-captained the United States women's national soccer team with Carli Lloyd and Megan rapinoe from 2018 to 2020. [8][9] Morgan was drafted as the number one player in the Western New York Flash's 2011 WPS Draft shortly after she had graduated from the University of California, Berkeley. Morgan played for the California Golden Bears. She made her debut at the club and was instrumental in helping the team win its league championship. Morgan aged 22 at the time, was the youngest player on the national team in the 2011 FIFA Women's World Cup, in which the team finished second. In the 123rd minutes of the semi-final clash against Canada during the 2012 London Olympics she scored the game-winning goal. She was the second player in the United States with 20 goals and 21 assists for 2012, making her the youngest and sixth-highest scoring player in the United States to score 20 goals in one year. She was awarded the U.S. Soccer Female Player of the Year and was the FIFA World Player of the The Year finalist. Morgan helped the United States win their titles at the 2015 and the 2019 FIFA Women's World Cups, where she was named to the Dream Team for both tournaments as well as winning the Silver Boot in 2019.
